Koen van Assema was born in 2000 in Haarlemmerliede. He studied in Amsterdam to become a sound engineer in big recording studios and live situations. After he finished his studies he followed his passion to become a professional portrait photographer working with famous dutch musicians, magazines and amazing businesses. 

His work can be described as touching, raw and honest. He is a versatile photographer who is never scared for a challenge.

The road to becoming a full time photographer is long but also the most exiting thing he has ever done and it is one that he will follow for the rest of his life.
