Having your own studio is not something that is easy as a young photographer who lives in a time where housing and places are hard to come by.

Luckily I got the opportunity to rent a space on Jachthaven Van Assema in Haarlemmerliede, the place where I grew up and have lived for most of my life.

In the middle of a beautiful marina which is owned and run by my family for more than 70 years stands a building that was formerly a popular restaurant and before that a well known local bar.

These days it's my daylight studio which I use to take a lot of portraits.
